Reselling Diamonds

Estimating your diamond with the 4C rule
CARAT - Weight
The carat is the universal unit of measurement for diamond weight. One carat is equivalent to 0.20 grams. The value of a diamond increases exponentially with its weight - so a 2-carat diamond will be worth more than two diamonds of 1 carat each. This progression is explained by the increasing scarcity of large diamonds in nature.
CLARITY - Purity
Clarity assesses the presence and visibility of inclusions in the diamond. The international scale ranges from FL (Flawless - no inclusions) through VVS (Very Very Small inclusions), VS (Very Small inclusions) and SI (Small Inclusions) to I3 (very visible inclusions). These inclusions are natural features formed during the crystallization of the diamond, making it unique.
COLOR - The color
The color scale for white diamonds starts at D (exceptional white) and goes down to Z (tinted). The most sought-after diamonds are those graded D, E and F (exceptional white), followed by G, H, I, J (nuanced white). There are also fancy color diamonds, such as yellows, pinks and blues, which follow a different valuation scale and can reach exceptional values.
CUT - Size
The cut determines how the diamond interacts with light. It assesses the technical quality of the cut through three criteria: the symmetry of the facets, their proportions and the quality of the polish. An excellent cut enables the diamond to reflect a maximum amount of light, giving it its full brilliance and brilliance. Conversely, a poorly executed cut can significantly reduce the diamond's value, even if it has excellent characteristics in terms of purity and color.
